Anon: Moony moony

Translated by Timothy Adès

Luna, lunera – Anónimo

Luna, lunera, cascabelera,
Cinco pollitos y una ternera,
Sal solecito, caliéntame un poquito,
Por hoy y por mañana por toda la semana.

Moony moony rattle
one head of cattle
four chicks and one chick.
Sun be sweet, send some heat,
today chick chick tomorrow chick
a heifer week a half a week
and one – whole – week. Chick chick!
